How we create an overview of the event
We will try to break down the event, and get a “Rundown” - a rundown basically breaks down every activity in the event the timeline, guests and everything else which will explain the flow of events. Once a rundown is created, we will figure this out across locations: the number of videographers needed and the number of directors on foot required and based on your requirement, everything which needs to be covered.
What are the preparations to be done the day before the event?
Need sufficient details about location, sockets, lighting needed, sound control, and various other production-related preparations needed.
What does the event coverage team consist of?
It’s a combination of an “Event Runner”, Director of photography, Videographers, Audio Engineers and editors. Depending on the size and scope of the event, it’s a combination of these basic teams scaled up or down.
How does the team coordinate with the organisers to stay updated with the programs?
This has to be completed weeks or days before the event. Based on the event rundown, the programs are recorded.
How does the team know whom to interview and what questions to ask?
This is defined when the overview of the video coverage is created.
How is data backup done?
Immediately after the event, we back up our footage on Google Drive - Enterprise edition which is encrypted. After which, duplicates are created for editing.
How is editing done for same-day highlights video?
Well, a number of templates are created beforehand and because we have a run down, the moment the footage is ready, it’s pushed to editing and published.
